SINGAPORE, 9 November 2023 – The Singapore Sports Hub is set for an exciting week of fast-paced floorball action featuring the sport’s best players next month, with the team rosters for the Women’s World Floorball Championships 2023 unveiled on Thursday (9 November). The WFC 2023 takes place from 2-10 December at the OCBC Arena and the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and the 16 teams are entering their final phases of preparation in their quest for glory in Singapore.

Hosts Singapore will be led by captain Michelle Lok, who will be competing in her fourth WFC. Of the 20 players in the Singapore team, eight are debutantes – forwards Lim En Jia, Jeffri Nasha and Adlyn Heng, defenders Foo Wen Xin, Hoo Mei Hui, Lim Jie Ying and Daphne Tan, and goalkeeper Shazana Noor. Singapore, the SEA Games champions, will start their tournament on 2 December against France, who are competing in the WFC for the first time.

The other teams competing are World No. 1 and defending champions Sweden, 2021 runner-up Finland (#2), Switzerland (#3), Czech Republic (#4), Poland (#5), Slovakia (#6), Norway (#7), Latvia (#8), Germany (#9), Denmark (#10), Australia (#11), Japan (#12), Estonia (#14), the USA (#15) and France (#27). The team name lists of all 16 squads competing in the WFC are available below.

The first day of the WFC 2023 will kickstart an action-packed week of thrilling floorball matches and speedy displays from the sport’s finest. Top-ranked Sweden begin their title defence at the OCBC Arena on the first day, with matches taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium later in the week – the semi-finals and will be held there on 9 and 10 December respectively.
